A Fun-Filled Fall Weekend

Oct 23, 2017

Weekends are for doing all the Fall things!

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous so we ventured out to get some pumpkins! In the past, we've gone to an actual patch (where you cut the ones you want off the vine) but this year we wanted to bring Bosco along, so we just hit up a few little roadside markets! I have two favorites that I love going to for baked goods and produce, and their pumpkin selection did not disappoint! We’re talking every type of pumpkin you could imagine, from tiny to giant and so many different color variations!

We didn't go overboard, but we picked up a few different sizes and some mums for our porch. It's just enough to feel festive. I also had pumpkin candles burning non-stop, made the first batch of chili for the season and watched too much football.

I'm still hoping for a few more adventures before the chilly temps roll in. Last year we were strolling around Georgetown enjoying the charming neighborhoods and yummy cupcakes. I'd love to head up that way again, but Bosco hasn't been doing very good with long car rides. So we'll see. It always feels like this season goes away too quickly (they already have Christmas stuff out!) so I'm going to enjoy every minute, even if we're just at home.

What have you been up to lately?
Did you get pumpkins or go apple picking?

  2. Oh I just love fall & all the pumpkins everywhere! We went to a corn maze & pumpkin patch with my family 2 weeks ago but I'm hoping to go again before fall is officially over.
